One year on for Wye do I need it?
Do we need it? Probably not, but I’ll have one anyway.
Ross-on-Wye based lifestyle boutique, Wye do I need it? is celebrating their first full year of opening and it has been a happy rollercoaster ride.
Offering a smorgasbord of gifts, homeware, ladies fashion, accessories and jewellery; this colourful independent shop is fast becoming a destination that is synonymous with finding that quirky gift and having something a little bit different. The store opened its doors on 22nd November 2025, and was overwhelmed (in a good way) with the welcome from locals and visitors alike. Following a wonderful first Christmas season, they were left with empty shelves, which lead to some well-placed panic buying and a lot of lessons learned.
One year on and the Ross-on-Wye Northern Quarter (a lovely term coined by a couple of locals) is really thriving. Situated at no 4, High Street, footfall is increasing as potential customers turn right at the Market House to walk down to the River Wye and stop at the vintage shops, cafes, pubs, Truffles deli, Rossiters book shop plus others that all live in this part of town.
Anyone can sign up to the Wye Do I Need It? newsletter on their website Homepage for seasonal discounts. Stop by the Ross-on-Wye store on 21st and 22nd November and celebrate with Jane and Katie, there may be cake. The shop is always open online at www.wyedoIneedit.com
