Tucked away in the heart of historic Lichfield, The Quill & Scholar is the kind of restaurant that combines the relaxed charm of a traditional pub with a menu that feels a little more special. Following its extensive refurbishment, this characterful mock-Tudor building has been transformed into a welcoming dining destination, with cosy corners, stylish interiors and a lovely garden room.

We were looking forward to putting the seasonal menu to the test, and our meal got off to a delicious start with two very different starters.
